Ensure Accessibility with Alt Text ⌨️

Now, you can add alt text to your Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn posts within Later-- increasing accessibility to your content by those who are visually impaired.

Alt text (short for alternative text) is a textual description of an image that's announced by assistive technologies that helps visually impaired users who cannot see the image understand the content. Without alt text, users with low vision or blindness aren't able to access the information shown in the image with their screen readers.

With alt text in Later via the web, you'll have peace of mind that your image-based content is accessible to e-readers the moment you hit schedule! We make it easier to ensure accessibility and save you time with a streamlined workflow since you won't need to add it natively after posting.

This feature will be available on all plans! Please note that at this time, alt text scheduling within Later is not available for Instagram and TikTok.

Why is there a limit of only 100 characters for Facebook on Later when there's no limit in the actual platform? Similarly, Later only allows 300 characters on LinkedIn, when it's 1,000 on the actual platform. Is this going to be updated?
